The
first ever SPRING FESTIVAL was held in the
college on Sunday 9th
March 2008. The college was annotated with colourful
banners and flags (Courtesy Shezan International Pvt.
Ltd.). The whole college staff and their families,
cadets and their parents were invited to witness this colourful event.
The festival was
held in the College Games Grounds. Sardar Ghairat Hayat
Khan cut the ribbon to inaugurate the festival at about
10 am along with Mr and Mrs Principal.
Different locations
were allotted to various stalls. Some other local
schools like Organon Schooling Concept Wah Cantt, The
Mentors Hasan Abdal and Sir Syed College Wah Cantt also
put up their miscellaneous stalls along with a Music
stall from cadets of Cadet College Hasan Abdal.
Moreover, there were book stalls of "Oxford Printing
Press" and "Book Fair Wah Cantt". Among the food stalls
were Green Lagoon Wah Cantt, Shezan International and
the College Mess. There was also a Kite Stall at a
corner. Some gaming, horse riding, tractor trolley ,
rickshaw riding points and swings were also available
for children.
The major
attraction was the Inter-Wing Dance Competition
(Gymkhana Event), some solo songs and Tambola. Aurangzeb
Wing turned out to be the Champion in the dance competition
with Liaqat Wing as Runners Up.
The
prizes/certificates were distributed among the
participants and the winners in the end. Managing
Director of Shezan International distributed the prizes
and certificates.
The end of the day was marked with a
Flag Lowering ceremony a little before the Maghrab
Prayers. Overall, it proved to be a wonderful experience
and lets hope that it sets a new tradition in the
college and becomes more organized and colourful in the coming years.
